Join us for a restorative workshop designed to bring a deeper sense of safety, security and stability into our lives. We will work on bringing balance to the root chakra – the energy center that governs our sense of inner strength. From a specially blended tea to welcome you to essential oils and supported chakra balancing asana, everything will be crafted to bring harmony to this important energy center. The practice will begin with a gentle flow followed by restorative poses on the floor before moving to the hammock for an extended savasana. You will go home with your own healing Carnelian stone, which is used to cleanse and activate the root chakra and to cultivate strength and courage.

Yoga Nidra
is the practice and art of Yogic Sleep. During the Nidra portion of class, you will be held and supported by the hammock as you're guided through a meditation that will allow your mind and body to slip into a deep state of relaxation. The brain will switch from beta to alpha waves, signaling the transition from activity to meditation. Receive deep rest and restoration in this extremely healing practice. Essential oils, massage and other healing modalities may be offered.

To find balance in the body, we need both movement and stillness. Strength/Stretch/Restore is a combination class starting with 40 minutes of strength-building work utilizing the hammock (and other props like weights, balls and bands), before moving to postures emphasizing flexibility and finally settling into restorative poses supported by bolsters & blankets. One inversion will be offered during the stretch sequence. Great for all levels!

Utilize the ground and the skies to find the drama of DANCE. We'll start with a traditional flow warm up, work on our floor-to-silk and silk-to-floor transitions and finally learn a routine.

Expect to learn a dramatic sequence using the silk as a way to dance in 3-D. Participants should be comfortable in basic inversions and have taken a minimum of five classes with us. This special workshop will intertwine modern dance, ballet, jazz, and silk, but no formal dance experience is necessary to participate. All we ask is that you bring your funk!
