Yoga Nidra
is the practice and art of Yogic Sleep. During the Nidra portion of class, you will be held and supported by the hammock as you're guided through a meditation that will allow your mind and body to slip into a deep state of relaxation. The brain will switch from beta to alpha waves, signaling the transition from activity to meditation. Receive deep rest and restoration in this extremely healing practice. This 30 day course includes 30-60 minutes of daily live instruction (Sun-Fri) with Flight Room owner, Jen, as she guides you safely toward getting your splits. Each day we will work on sequences designed to systematically open up the hamstrings, hips, quads and calves in order to deepen our version of the splits. We will work on both middle and side split variations and students of all flexibility levels are more than welcome. It's amazing how much progress can be made with daily focused flexibility work!

If you already have your splits, this program can help you achieve greater depth and better alignment.

6 Weeks to Badass Arm Balances (Series) $89Purchase required to enroll

Join us for a powerful mat-based series designed to transform your arm balance practice (a different kind of "flight!) For six weeks, we will move through progressively more challenging arm balances while building the core and upper body strength necessary to safely land them. Each class will start with a warming flow, strength based drills and workshopping 1-2 arm balances with time allowed for play and feedback from Elissa. Experienced flyers and those new to arm balances totally welcome! Note: while it's not required that you attend "live" (we will send a replay link following class each week), we definitely recommend it as it will allow you the chance to get feedback on your form and troubleshoot your postures.

Exploring Inversions Virtual Course $89Purchase required to enroll

In this seven week series with Alexandra, we’ll investigate the upside down. Inversions can bring about clarity, confidence and strength. They can also be scary, vulnerable and exciting. We will explore a variety of inversions as well as entrance and exit strategies as we make space for all of these feelings and experiences.


Each class will begin with a warm up designed to cultivate strength and flexibility. We need to be strong to get into and stay in our inversions, but we must be flexible with not only our bodies but our expectations. We will utilize the wall, blocks and blankets. Each week will build on the next as we bulk up our muscle memory so that we can try different types of inversions.

Inversions take time and practice! Your body not only needs to build muscular strength but also learn to reorient itself and remain calm. We want you to walk away from this practice not necessarily with any perfect postures, but with the confidence that you have a toolbox available to pursue inversions. Strengthening homework is strongly encouraged and exercises will be given in class.

Please take care of your body! For example, if you know that you have neck or spine issues or injuries, headstands might not be something you choose to explore. Use good judgement and listen to your instinct if you think you are in harm’s way. Not every inversion works well in every body, and not every inversion must be “conquered” just because it is presented in class. If something doesn’t work today, maybe you decide to try it next year, but because you took this course, you know where to start your exploration.

About the instructor:

Alexandra is a dancer, yogi and apparatus enthusiast. Her classes are built around the joy of movement and finding the boundary between ease and excitement. She was classically trained as a dancer at University of Idaho and American Dance Festival and completed her 200 hour instructor training at the alignment-focused Seattle Yoga Arts. She loves infusing her practice with creative movement and plenty of inversions.

Utilize the ground and the skies to find the drama of DANCE. We'll start with a traditional flow warm up, work on our floor-to-silk and silk-to-floor transitions and finally learn a routine.

Expect to learn a dramatic sequence using the silk as a way to dance in 3-D. Participants should be comfortable in basic inversions and have taken a minimum of five classes with us. This special workshop will intertwine modern dance, ballet, jazz, and silk, but no formal dance experience is necessary to participate. All we ask is that you bring your funk!

We'll focus on some much-needed recovery work every week. Your body needs some TLC during this time more than ever! Get rid of tension and indulge in a little self massage while we are stuck inside and can’t get to any of our usual resources. Want to de-stress and tap into a more relaxed state of being? This special series will systematically work on strengthening and opening the spine, culminating in a two-hour workshop on wheel variations.

Each class will have a special focus, building on concepts from previous sessions. We will work on developing the strength needed for backbends as well as creating space and flexibility/mobility while utilizing props like blocks, blankets, bolsters (or pillows), the wall and chairs.

We will meet three times/week (Tues/Wed/Thurs) for two weeks and then once on Sunday the 14th for a two-hour deep dive into Wheel pose (Urdhva Dhanurasana) variations. This course is designed to be accessible for all and modifications will be offered. In addition to live streaming via Zoom, we will upload replays to an easy to use on-demand format following each session, so no worries if you're not able to attend all sessions live. (Though, if you're able to attend live we definitely recommend it as it's a great opportunity to have your questions answered!)
