Aerial Dance: The Silk as a Partner | Six-Week Series | Level 3-4 | LQA

Do you find yourself fumbling for the silk in aerial dance, or even in flow class? This 6-week series will focus on transitioning in and out of the silk and how to maneuver the it around the body through this combination of aerial dance and play. We'll focus on some ballet and modern dance technique that culminates in a final combo that utilizes the silk as a partner as opposed to something that's just in the way.

Level 3-4; Level 3 students may be exposed to new choreography while Level 4 students should expect to finesse their entrance and exits to classic moves like crossback straddle, thigh wrap, and the infinity loop. Level 1-2 students interested in aerial dance should check out Morgan's Composition series! It is highly recommended that students have attended at least 5 Intro to Play classes for their safety and comfort.
