Join Patty for an incredible 2.5 hour Intro Workshop where you'll learn the foundational building blocks to create your aerial yoga practice. This experience is designed for those brand-new to aerial yoga or those who have perhaps taken a couple of classes and are looking for a deeper dive into the fundamentals.
Our purpose is to explore mobility, strength, and balance, while maintaining safety and alignment.
Emphasis on various elements including:
· Exploring intention of your aerial practice, a blend of relaxation, play, flexibility and power
· Moving mindfully from the floor to the hammock and the spaces between
· Attuning to energy level and the body’s feedback to support your practice
· Utilizing the fabric for support to access postures with confidence
· Surrendering to the exploration of a new path
Practice will include
- Introducing yoga postures with different points of focus and alignment
- Inversions: how and why they are beneficial
- Sensation and pressure; how to acclimate and adjust
- An exploration of decompression and detoxification
- Strengthening and lengthening (balancing your practice)
